What We Do

What We Do

The Friends of the Dover Public Library is a non-profit organization supporting our library through fundraising, volunteering, and advocacy. We supplement the library's budget to fund museum passes, a large portion of summer reading activities, events and programs, and other activities in the community. In short, we fund the fun stuff!

The Friends host book sales in the Spring and Fall every year to help raise money to support the library. You can also find us out at community events like the Cochecho Arts Festival, Apple Harvest Day, and Dover Days at the Woodman Museum.

Our board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the Library and all friends are welcome to join.
